I’d say who, but then my city would be revealed… And I’d probably lose followers, because oooh how some of you hate my city!

"Wanna go work out in 30?" -Mentor
“Of course! See you soon!” In 30, I walk outside unshowered and in my workout clothes. There I see my mentor dressed beautifully, showered, made-up, etc…  This, kids, is why you make sure you re-read your messages. She only said “work” not “work-out”… Oops.

What are some good search engines for students?
I know of sweetsearch.com… My kids are going to do some research on Yellowstone Nat’l Park tomorrow and I’m trying to think of the best way to have them do this without being bombarded by a million non-age appropriate websites.

I’m thinking about making this our next class novel. I actually need to make the decision by tomorrow morning - I didn’t realize how close we were to finishing Robinson Crusoe! Any thoughts on this book and it’s appropriateness for 4th grade? Is it an enjoyable read? Thoughts?

PRESIDENT'S DAY CHALLENGE! →
novicephoenix: First of all, you’re not failing if you’re addressing that one of your lessons was not as successful as otheres in the past. I think the first step is painful acceptance and then asking yourself: how can I learn from this? What can I do next? I think that you’re on the right track. You said you’re teaching history, right? And the two main problems were that students weren’t...

President's Day Weekend Challenge!
teamteachers: Pick at least 5 #education tumblrs. Go through their archive and choose at least 1 post from each that is an original post of theirs, excellent resource, or has great commentary (on a reblog or link). I think this would be a great way to discover some posts we’ve missed, especially for those newer to Tumblr.

boppinrobin asked: Hey, there. I know it's President's Day weekend, so you are gonna be relaxing in the three-day respite, but this is your friendly former TFA teacher reminder that you are totally allowed to take personal days when you are feeling overwhelmed. Don't let anyone let you feel guilty for that, especially yourself. When you need a day off, you need a day off. It's a long way from...

This is how I know I've lost it.
Today was rough. One of my best, well behaved kids yelled “Bull****” (I know- not that terrible- but shocking from him) and had to be sent to in-school suspension, and another of my good kids that I really love is moving to a state away over the weekend- and no one told me until this morning. On my walk home (around 7pm), I passed by a house with a bunch of upper elem-middle school...
